Explanation of abofseg

This course of lectures was given at Dartmouth in 1954. Near
the end, Rosenstock-Huessy tells what the next 1000 years--however long
itis--will be like. It is 'small,
enthusiastic groups'. Tribes without
constant warpath warfare, as the nation-state was empires without slavery, and
the Church was Israel without exclusions. History is chiastic in these social
orders, he taught. Tribes, Empires, Israel (Greecs became a companion only
after) He Who Reversed the Trend, the Church, Nation-States, and now SEGs--to
which I add 'oath-formed,' thus incorporating ERH's views on true speech, where
one puts one's life behind one's words--and which ERH said we would lose in
America. I now add 'jubilee'--one book per week per James B. Jordan's 49-book
Bible, literarily conceived (Rethinking the Order of the Old Testament, @
