Taking a break--from almost everything

Friends:

Gone fishing, but … mny benefits here: Calendar toward Peace, Helping the talents/trauma of people and one-anothering and training conductors, I hope GFE carries JBJ’s thinking along, and a new holiday—had we celebrated A. D. 70 for centuries, maybe dispensationalism and hyper-preterism would have been muted.

I'll be back when it happens as Jay Abraham (great marketer, much free gifting at www.abraham.com/gifts) says it comes to one who is writing copy.  1--Immerse yourself in the subject. 2--Go 'fishing'--don't think about it. 3--Take something with which to write. 4--When 'it' comes to you, write without stopping. 5--Edit.

Will it be marketing (an adjusted metathesis (?) of mohar--hard 'h') or will it do the chuckhartmanhistoryconductor thing? [Marketing so I can pay people].

I don't know.  I must change, though, in order to remain the same. One doesn't 'father' a 12-year old as he does a 2-year old.

What'll I do? Play some golf, shoot some pool.  Louise and I will try to shoot my age (Chinese, entering) from the up tees, etc.  We came close last year, before I had some kind of weakening by laser, I claim. I do know I hit one 287 uphill earlier in the summer, and thought I could drive a 240 yardhole, but after 200 was my max.

In the meantime, consider these 4 things.

1--A psalmodic response. One effect of the feasts of Israel was to drive Israel from the land and into cities (JBJ, early--North said iirc, it drove Israel into trade). Let's get the gist of this and use it in the new situation(s) God has put us in, namely 5th generation warfare.  How to get to peace from 'nets and jets,' that is, a warfare that does not have hierarchies to surrender with authority, and which has jet planes to take biowar and nanowar. [You have heard of the totally drug resistant TB in Mumbai?]

I proposed C.E.P.T (Host--House of Singing Times) long ago, but I didn't see it as a primer, as in 'Blink'  The idea is that by going through this calendar for neo-tribal times, we might move society to peace, as Israel was moved above from agriculture to cities. As a friend of mine from work who's looking for a serious church said, 'Yeah, what've they got!?'

2--The inside out of HOST, as the garments of the high priest were to the tabernacle is TSOH. The Symphony of History, aka One Anothering Revolution, or OAR!  This takes the pain identified in a person (trauma or talent--to modify Mr. Monk: 'A blessing, and a cross') and move it through the 5Cs, the Law-Lyric-Evaluation-Fact, ERH's 'ISNO,' Sayers, etc., with one-anothering Initiations and Responses ('IR's--city in Hebrew: Our conversation/citizenship is in Heaven), such that solos (soli) and a symphony in 4 forms is done, and each Day is taught to conduct, electricity, train, orchestra. There's more.

3—Godparents for Eldsters.  Out of my trauma (YOHAD—years of hell and death) after getting ‘Crisis, Opportunity, and the Christian Future’ in my bones, I see that a next move, based on JBJ’s parallelism of history might be GFE. Search ‘Godparents Hartman’ on YouTube—and for any of my stuff chuckhartmanhistoryconductor or Charles Howard Hartman on Facebook (Notes). JBJ says it’s Father, Son, Spirit, and after the Resurrection, it’s the institutions of Church, Christian State, University.  Now we wait. Sabbath, 4th Word.  And it’s Jeremiah Time (violation of Sabbath for the land?).  And the 5th Word and 8th Word were the first of 3 falls in Genesis, this being Adam’s dishonoring the father (5) by theft (8).  So, I propose 5th Word emphasis, and of the many types of father/mother, choose the elderly.

4—BUT, HOST/C.E.P.T is a calendar for a social order, not a replacement. It’s for neo-tribal (ERH, Universal History 1954). Community celebrations, tribal; work/business schedules, empire: eternal ecclesiastical calendar, Israel; educational calendars/schedules, Greece. Show me a man’s schedule, I’ll tell you who he is. ERH. CHH: Show me a society’s calendars, and I’ll tell you what whe is. One part of HOST is that I write 3 holiday weeks on the 49-book/week year.  I call the year ‘coram,’ celebration of resurrection anno mundi. After Resurrection this coram starts EphesusCoram861. One of the holiday weeks in Public Vindication.  It’s the week starting the 11th Lord’s Day, inclusive, after Resurrectin (Pascha, Easter).

Reading for it, from Pentecots (Day 50) through the start of Days 71-77, is a bunch of 22s.  The 22 ‘Old Testament’books—JBJ’s ‘Rethinking the Order of the Old Testament’. All these forward and backward.  The 27 Greek books, in 6 for the first week, and 21 more.  The 22 parts of Psalm 119.  The 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet (again, RTOOTOT).  That should get us ready for celebrating the Public Vindication of Jesus Christ, A. D. 70.

Many benefits here: Calendar toward Peace, Helping the talents/trauma of people and one-anothering and training conductors, I hope GFE carries JBJ’s thinking along, and a new holiday—had we celebrated A. D. 70 for centuries, maybe dispensationalism and hyper-preterism would have been muted.

But I’m on hiatus, gone fishing—golfing, shooting pool, etc.

Love in King Jesus,

Charlie ‘next year, back home’ Hartman
PS: The outline of One Anothering Revolutin (Sing A New Era! [Lord willng])—I’ll send it to you. I’ve done the first week and a little of the 2nd, playing all 12 parts, with dodecaphrenicity.  It’s cruciating.  What I’ll send (edencity@aol.cm) also includes ‘fill-in-the-blanks’ form. HOST/House Of Singing Times, is in chuckhartmanhistoryconductor, and you have the Facebook, Charles Howard Hartman—and the pages Build A Peace Tribe and Godparents For Eldsters will find them, and you have the YouTube. There’s also Symphony of History Stuff on YouTube.
PPS: One option is joint ventures, but I won’t know until after ‘it’ happens while I’m fishing.

Patrick of Ireland of Peace

Patrick of Ireland of Peace
From heads of enemies hanging from waists
to books they had copied hanging from waists--
Patrick.
Blessed are the peacemakers

He lived from A. D. 387-A. D. 460 (or 492).

Patrick had been a slave/shepherd. He escaped. He became missionary to Ireland.  He taught them to read by using books telling of red martyrdom. Red martyrdom was dying/being killed for the faith.

Ireland had no cities, and warrior chiefs wore the skulls of enemies from their waists.

Green martyrdom was started.  A person would move to an isolated hut, to live with God.
Later, others moved to live around these first ones. These groups became monasteries and cities. [Again, Cahill says that Ireland had had no cities].

They began copying books.  This was white martyrdom.

--Slavery? Page 148: ‘… Ireland…had been received into Christianity, which transformed Ireland into Something New, something never seen before—a Christian culture, where slavery and human sacrifice became unthinkable… ‘--

Roman civilization fell, and the books the Irish copied were among the few, if any, [Latin] books that survived. Later, missionaries came from Ireland to set up monasteries and scriptoria, places where books were copied.

Cahill explains it well. ‘How The Irish Saved Civilization,’ page 196.

‘… Wherever they went [these missionaries: CHH] the Irish brought with them their books, many unseen in Europe for centuries and tied to their waists as signs of triumph, just as Irish heroes had once tied to their waists their enemies’ heads. Wherever they went they brought their love of learning and their skills in bookmaking. In the bays and valleys of their exile, they established literacy and breathed new life into the exhausted literary culture of Europe.
And that is how the Irish saved civilization. …’

From heads of enemies hanging from waists
to books they had copied hanging from waists--
Patrick.
Blessed are the peacemakers
What do you want to hang from YOUR waist?

Revolutions of the West: Gardner Summarizes Rosenstock

Host9872GardnerBeyondBeliefRevolutions

BriefSummaryOfGardner

First, the complete cross of reality

The Complete Cross of Reality is a diagram at the end of ‘Beyond Belief’. It starts at the southwest corner of a square, and heads east. Thou.  This is the Forward/Imperative.  It heads north as the In/Subjective (I) , the west as the Back/Narrative (We), and south as the Out/Objective (They).

This is BRIEF.  For the full wonderfulness, please see the book.

[Yes, I have the same structure in The Pella Square.  We both got it, somehow, from Rosenstock-Huessy. I emphasize the historical and liturgical aspects, and mine can go both backward and forward as I seek a solution to discipling a community. Matthew 28.  The solution is to get oneself into the position that a shepherd is in when, after leading through the service, he sends the flock out with a command—in my case, a specific set of commands that summarizes this history, and fulfills the name of the community.]

Second, the revolutions of the West

This is Chapter 5 of ‘Beyond Belief.  My summaries will be too short.

Here are the revolutions: Papal, German, English, American, French, Russian.

‘Revolutions do nothing but readjust the equation between heart-power and the social order. They bring about the Kingdom of God by force, and reach into the infinite in order to reform the finite.’

Each went through four phases.

Imperative. Each revolution’ leaders felt called as a Thou..
Subjective reply: New speech, new persons, new Is.
Narrative/history, new institutions founded by these new persons. We.
Objective.  These new became commonplace in the nation and over the planet. They
This is a recapitulation of any significant human experience, as we see in
The Cross of Reality.

The Papal Revolution. Gregory VII. 1076. It wound up the clock spring to which the others responded, releasing the energy. (The power of the Church over Europe’s kings and emperors—CH: Investiture, who would appoint the bishops?) This was a unified planetary institution aimed at converting and liberating the whole human race. Crusades, universities, cathedrals, the beginning of science…world history.

1517, 1649, 1776, 1789, 1917. Each leaves unfinished businees, each shows how the Holy Spirit acts in history, as our gift of speech, as our gift of high speech that calls us to a new future.
The Papal Revolution (1076) Imperative: Realize the Kingdom of God on earth by emancipating all humankind.  The first transnational institution.
New Speech. Theology (argumentation) and prayer, via plainchant and more elaborate worship.
New Persons: Crusaders, Franciscans, Dominicans, members of craft guilds, university professors, captains of sailing/exploring ships over the whole world.
New Institutions:  Where the above worked.
Result: Christendom in Western Europe with outposts over the whole planet.

The German Revolution (1517). Freedom of conscience. New life in the secular world. Individual believer free from dictates of Rome, which was no longer a source of renewal.
New Speech: Secular literature, music and are, plus the Bible in the vernacular. Experimental science.
New Persons: Hymn writers, musicians, artists, public school teachers,  civil servants, scientists and academics. Conscientious laymen, secular priests, who felt themselves equal  to pastors.
New Institutions: Especially public schools, civil service, and academies.

Results: Public education, scientific investigation, bureaucracies (civil service as religious position in country—as non-corrupt).

The British Parliamentary Revolutions (1649-1688). Imperative: Political freedom. Freeing the civil society from the dictates of kings and princes (Cromwell)—and from lingering royal and Catholic influence.
New Speech: Law, debate, argument.
New Persons: Aristocratic gentlemen, lawyers, parliamentarians.
New Institutions: Parliaments and courts.
Results: Over the planets, parliamentary democracies, states under the rule of law, reliable legal systems. (Commonwealth—Chancellor no longer needs to alternate between Church and State, but Commonwealth is united).

The French Revolution (1789). Imperative: Elevate the bourgeois citizen to power—liberty, equality, fraternity. Free from church and king. Bourgeois entrepreneur, and Reason, rule.
New Speech: National literature and arts. Journalism.
New Persons: Entrepreneur, and novelists, newspapermen, experimental scientists.
New Institutions: Corporations, newspapers, institutes of technology.
Results: Capitalism, competitive markets, free enterprise, free press, planetarily.

The American Revolution (1776). Drawn from both French and English. Christian-inspired English combined with anti-Christian Enlightenment of the French.
New Speech and New Persons, as in the English and French.
America is the ongoing source of the ‘planetary revolution’. More below, (CH: This is why I have the Lectionary Chronological Historical from 854-3170).

The Russian Revolution (1917). Imperative: Freedom from economic exploitation.
New Speech: Quantitative.
New Persons: Proletarian (including union workers).
New Institutions. Soviet union, dictatorship. Western democracies: Government agencies that sought to control national economies and to prevent exploitation of labor.
Result: Industrialized Russia, elsewhere: Social democracy with alphabet bureaucratic agencies.
Gardner: Captured French new rationalist and objective language, and Papal’s messianic belief in glorious future.

Rosenstock-Huessy wrote that all revolutions recreate both public law, and private manners, and lie between them in an open immediacy. Thus are hated.

The Planetary Revolution (1945, Forward). ERH in Christian Future—We will live for centuries in the fields of force of these revolutions.  The world wars had ended the 1000 years of (CH: this kind of ) Christendom. Negative side of revolutions: World Wars. Positive side: All brought together, all strands. ERH: Great Society heir of Church and State. (CH: Elsewhere in Universal History 1954, ERH says that our challenge is to gain the small, enthusiastic groups of the tribes, without the perpetual warfare, as the Church glorified Israel by gaining inclusiveness, and the State got rid of the slavery of the Empires—Greece should remain a companion, never a social order, ERH said and wrote)
Imperatives, then: ‘…work toward the emancipation of all humankind by achieving freedom of conscience, political freedom, freedom of individual enterprise, and freedom from economic exploitation. …)
In the Third Millennium, it is the Spirit, Who has always been at work, that unifies.
Christianity has been now expressing Herself (CH) in more secular language, and is oriented toward change, not the past (alone).  Constant renewal, freeing the captives, active outside the church). New Heaven and New Earth. ‘Christianity created today’s one world, our global society.’
