In Sheldrake's 'Science Set Free' he writes of what a
scientific attitude is: If one is confronted with anecdotal evidence that
people are living longer (hundreds of years) in India, or Western convents or
monasteries, what is the scientific approach.
If science is a method of inquiry, one goes and takes a look. If science is a belief system, one says that
it can't be.
