Dear Esther Horner Roorda. You have hit the nail on the head with the MLK quote. It fits in with Rosenstock's thought in 'Universal History 1954' course at Dartmouth (FREE audio and transcript at www.erhfund.org). He held to a chiastic view of history. Tribes, Empires, Israel and Greece. Then, after He Wo Reversed The Trend (Jesus), the Church for 1000 years was Israel without exclusions, then for the next 1000 it was the nation-state, Empires without slavery. Greece had been a companion, never a social order. Each social order has an In, Out, Forward, Back front. The next 1000 will be Tribes without perpetual warpath. And in my 12 (I could need to continue updating them) #11 is Peace Tribe. One would combine the best of many parts--Thoreau, Boniface, 'Contagious Disciple Making' baptized a million and started 80,000+ churches, etc. Would you head up this small enthusiastic peace tribe? It is one of our challenges, unto maturity like those we read about in
Ancient Israel. Technological Amish would be another thing to explore. (King: Study peqace as we do war)Thursday, June 19, 2025
