JBJ blurb: Cascione

 Dear Friends:

JBJ blurb: 'I highly recommend this book, as I also do Cascione's earlier "In Search of the Biblical Order." Anyone working with the text of the Bible should have both of these close-at-hand at all times.'Rev. Professor James B.Jordan, Director, Biblical Horizons Ministries, and Scholar-in-Residence, Theopolis Institute. (Re: "Repetition in the Bible")

Let's look at a couple.1. Rev. 18:13. According to  pattern analysis (aesthetic hemeneutics) the phrase 'and spices' completes a pentad on senses, a  list of 30, a list of 90 'kais' in the chapter, and a list of 1120 'kais' in Revelation. (page 101 ISOTBO)
2. Also in 'In search of the Biblical Order' page 131 'This verse (CHH: the lastin Revelation) is a workof art thatcompletes a series of at least 7 macro-patterns.' ... 'Unfortunately, no English translation of which we are aware correctly translates Revelation 22:11'
Cascione also claims that the different orderings of similar phrasings (nation, tribe, peoples, tonges) is an aesthetic way of indicating both symmetry  and asymmetry.
This work was greatly  aided by BibleWorks8.
