#2 Revitalization: Doable NOW. college without debt

#2 Revitalization: Doable NOW, college without debt

Dear Bob:

$1.6 trillion of college debt.

NOT dischargable in bankruptcy.

It's a big problem for many.

There are many inexpensive or free college courses online.

One might start by having a letter written to big employers and associations.

The letter would ask their advice first.

One can search 'college without debt,' MIT opencourseware, University of the People, Khan academy, open culture and many others. A relative of mine got her Master's entirely online.

'$11/day,' says someone on 'Low cost colleges'.

There's a college that allows as many courses as one wants for @$400/month.

Thus, a student can flip hamburgers and pay for college.

Now, what about jobs?  That's where the letter above come in--ask 'em what they want in new employees.

Also, colleges seem often to be training students for specific types of jobs. (The used to be colleges with NO electives)

Many would need the discipline/help of experienced people when they study.  Volunteers could do this, maybe.

Also, what space, what computers?

Computers are relatively cheap, and most have one. Churches have unused space during the week. The Library would be a good place, but it's not often open at night? I don't know?

To sum up, there are many alternatives that can result in college without debt.

Coordination is needed.

This would revitalize some.

Love in King Jesus,

Chuck
