Mini-JBJ Sermon Effectiveness Maximizer (mini-SEM)

I often do a mini-JBJ Sermon Effectiveness Maneuver that takes the 'theme' of the sermon, and, each day of the week, runs that theme through the periods of Bible history that JBJ mentions in both 'Crisis...', and 'Brief Reader's...'.

Thus Psalms of Ascent:

Garden
Prison
Wilderness
Kingdom
Remanant and Exile
World Witness
Communion with God/Apsotasy

For advance study and application, vocationally, one could do:
Sun
Moon
Mars
Venus (Mercury)
Thor
Mercury (Venus)
Saturn

For the prophets amongst, do this order :
K.O.L (dragvolved)
Sardis
Pergamos
Ephesus
Philadelphia
Thyatira
Smyrna

So, with Psalms of Ascent, one would work with the songs in the Bible, in each period, and the mountains, and the ascensions, and one’s vocation – calendars? The shift from one layer of society to another? – and one would certainly grow, I’d think. One would be ascending the har to the mo’ed.
