What's The Imperative?

Were we to emphasize a renewal of the covenant, and the Lord's Supper, with an ORDER, that is commissioning, such as Matt. 28, at the end, that would be a start. Without the imperative, there is nothing. An assignment, then. Read Chapter 5 of Clint Gardner's 'Beyond Belief' in which he limns each of the revolutions of the West, with the appropriate imperative for each, and the subsequent forms of speech, and tell us what the imperative is for this new era dawning. I've proposed several good ones.

I was just thinking of a multi-generational task of reverse-exegeting to find the song the angels sang at Creation. It would be like the songs in response to events, such as the Song of the Red Sea, or to covenants, such as the Song of Moses. Or the Ascension--Rev. 5:12, 7:12. So, with Psalms of Ascent, one would work with the songs in the Bible, in each period, and the mountains, and the ascensions, and one’s vocation – calendars? The shift from one layer of society to another? – and one would certainly grow, I’d think. One would be ascending the har to the mo’ed.
