40 American History

40 best perspectives for American History? From Bering land crossing to Kardashev future, I'm thinking that in a couple of years, community experts could teach our class. Somebody takes clothing, starting with hides, and toward wearable electronics. A friend would do Democrats, Indian governance, Locke, Jefferson, Jackson/Van Buren, and into space, etc. What 40 perspectives would be best. One a week for 9 months. Gurri's 'The Revolt of the Public' explains a lot. He claims we're in the Fifth Wave of information. #1 was writing, #2 was alphabet, so this is BIG. He wrote before Trump or Brexit. When information doubles in a year, and more have access to it, People wonder. His solution?: More competency, honesty, and humility by 'authorities'.

I propose that this is a maturity test for pastors. And with all this information out there, it is easy to find someone who agrees with you. This is called confirmation bias.

Let me give an example: We have one of the greatest educational tools ever invented, yet school administrators want to ban it. Why? Because they are not mature enough to engage students, who in previous eras fought wars, were raising families, etc. (My mother and her sisters taught grades 1-8 in country schools immediately after graduating from HIGH SCHOOL. Cleopatra was 17, how old was Joan of Arc? Farragut was supposedly prizemaster of a ship at 11. Tabernacle of the mouth

Biblical Law is VERY important. We use Maimonides” 613 (Wikipedia) and Greg Hartman’s ‘New Testament Imperativity’. Let’s use what number Greg has for the Titus. He calls it 306 ‘Imperatives for Pastors’ How would they have changed in 2000 years? They seem to be relatively unchanged, but I would add that The Lord’s Prayer is imprecatory (and we should sing all Psalms, with Jordan’s Hebrew Cadence significant numbers of words/concepts being emphasized with Psalm 150 instruments). Why is The Lord’s Prayer imprecatory? Because His Kingdom will not come unless and until He destroys His enemies, either by destroying He destroys the, or conversion.

Doug Roorda Let's approach the solution to our situation liturgically. I will give 3 parts: 1--The 5 Cs, 2--Newton, 3--Our situation.

A--GodTrinity CALLS primarily to worship Assembly. (The Holy Wars are for our maturity. The more mature, the more difficult. Ancestors have fought and won some Holy Wars) Fir Newton, this was the apple. Now we must outline the new Holy War, which I think you are saying is mistreatment of the poor and stranger/foreigner by civil authorities.

B--GodTrinity CLEANSES us. In the assembly, this is confession, and authorized announcement that GodTrinity has forgiven. For Newton this was his realization that he did not know, but could find out. For our Holy War this is a realization of the situation described above, and that it can be remedied.

C--GodTrinity CONSECRATES US. In worship this is Readings and Sermon. For Newton this was research, including what others have discovered, and then his hypothesis. Now we must enunciate something similar.

D--GodTrinity COMMUNES us. If we eat and drink unworthily, we die. For Newton, this is a test of his hypothesis, until it becomes a theory. For us, we should test our proposed solution. This may take time, as for instnace 70 years of prayer in the former Soviet Union and world.

E--GodTrinity COMMISSIONS us to take this Good News out. Newton published his theory. We then speak, wirt, and act toward the appropriate.

Biggest Injustices 'Mandatum Do Vobis...'

I've been thinking about what are the greatest injustices at present. I think 2: 1--Great technological advances are used, not to advance life, but to kill in war. A good example is that the nuclear power to keep a submarine cruising for a year or more is used to carry missiles that can destroy much civilization. 2--'We' have. in something we carry in our pocket--smartphone--(almost) 'all' the information in the world, yet we aren't mature enough as adults to do other than FORBID their use in school. All the while, Khan Academy has 100 million students, and MIT has FRRR courses taught by people who have won the Nobel Prize, etc. MANDATUM DO VOBIS. We have institutionalized many health cures, and we have hospitals for curing (not just dying) BUT some say medical doctors are the 3rd leading cause of death, and some cures are suppressed. What does it mean NOW corporately? There are unexplained healing, and by prayer. Thus, for individuals too.
