'Fighting Irish because they fought 'em. 1924 Immigration law, Hitler copied Indiana statutes, Prohibition shut down the 5th largest industry in America, Klan almost bought Valparaiso, Blacks shifted to Democrats because, Walgreen became wealthy selling liquor by prescription, doctors benefited too (read elsewhere), Stephenson became wealthy ('I am the law) with % of dues and clothing, etc.
