The key is exchangeability. If someone transfers something to you (Bitcoin is all electronic, I think) and you can use it to get something, now or later, that you use, then Mexican pesos (by check?) or Bitcoin or whatever will work. That's why we used to have banks--the money-changer would set up his table/'banc' and exchange one type of money for another.
If people stop taking one kind of money it will fail.
Creveld says the state system will fail for lack of sound money, and for lack
of justice.
As a church, you need to be able to help provide justice and
sound currency. Church leaders, experts in 'word,' should be able to help here.
Most won't.
The ones that do, will be doing the Lord's work. The others
will be pruned.
