FunBuildingAChristianCivilizationJoinUs

FunBuildingAChristianCivilizationJoinUs

Here’s how we start.

E. T. Hall, in ‘The Silent Language,’ made a 10x10 chart of culture.  Here it is. Call lthis a culture house.

To build a Christian culture house, we might start with the books of the Bible, because each book was written at a specific time for a specific reason to help build the house of GodTrinity, the church.  These were written for our nurture and admonition.  The house represented differed at different times.  Tabernacle, Temple, etc. I propose to use the 49-book Bible, in a 7x7 grid, put forth, for wisdom, by James Jordan in ‘Rethinking the Order of the Old Testament’: http://www.biblicalhorizons.com/biblical-horizons/no-80-rethinking-the-order-of-the-old-testament/

Jordan asks us to consider the 12 Minor Prophets, ‘The Twelve’ as one book, thus making the Old Testament of 39 books to become 28.  Then 1st and 2nd Samuel is one book, 27. Same with Kings, 26.  Jeremiah and Lamentations considered as one book make it 25, and when Greater Chronicles consists of 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah, we have 22.

22 Old and 27 New make 49, and in his works he shows how these seven 7s are echoes, each one, of the Days of Creation.

That is on page 3.  Hall’s work is copyrighted, and I cannot put it in this.  You might find it online, or by looking inside the Amazon copy, or it is on sale inexpensively, or in libraries.

What blocks build a Christian Culture House, then?  Let’s look at Rosenstock’s thinking about the Revolutions of the West, summarized by Gardner in Chapter 5 of his ‘Beyond Belief’.

New types of person

New types of speech

New institutions

We could also add…

New words

New memes

New inventions

New songs

New books

New tools

New Imperatives

--Gardner’s book is also under copyright. I believe it is fair use, for educational purposes, to place copies of chapter 5 in the hands of the 12 who will be helping me in face-to-face contact, which I do.

This started during Ecclesiastes Sheba (week) of the calendar I proposed.  I have placed some preliminary  proposals in each of the weeks of a blank 7x7.  Please put in your own.

Here is the key.
We are not building a Christian Culture House of only 2 dimensions.
We add to what first comes to us as an appropriate
building block
[and we use all causes, not just material—the bricks and wood.  We include formal, the blueprint.  And efficient, the workers. And final, the purpose of the building].

I will add comments on a page after the 7x7.
And the 7x7 will be more than one page.

Conjective truth (McCloskey, ‘Bourgeois Dignity,’ is truth arrived at in conversation.
Let us aim for conjective truth.

Well, the last 6 blocks are 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49—I am defeated by computer graphics. I’ll have to write on the bottom when I come up with something, as I go through the calendar year by year.
44—Deut. How To Make Your Communities Better/PellaSquared. 45—Leviticus The House Of Singing Times/Calendar Of Peace Prejected. 49—Exodus The Symphony Of Comprehensive History Interactive
Put the new meme, type of person, type of speech , or organization in the space.
The 7x7 will expand as descriptions are made.

--For Proverbs, yes colaboramorate, and laboramoratory but end up in 31, the church as Lady Wisdom
--For Ecclesiastes, Vanity, yes, but in the end ‘Fear God and Keep His Commandments (guard, reverence), for…Judge’—that is, optimistic exchatology (a felicitous mis-typing, ‘x’ is Xrist!, and is ‘from’ what was empty?) , and emptiness is filled by BledsAlinskyoevey clubs.  Oy Vey—convey the awe—that you owe?  That it’s a ‘we’? Wait, grief is the START of getting away, it’s the confession? oy vey
/oi ˈvā/
exclamation
1.                               indicating dismay or grief.

From Bledsoe’s ‘Can Saul Alinsky Be Saved?’ A new application of atype of speech, logomachy?, such that Bledsoe encloses Alinsky, and they start out ‘we’ ‘vey—as inconvey’ from an owing, the history Bledsoe relates, a dismay, but a going. From that, move to the sequences of Rosenstock and others.
Now, 3-dimensionally, we build up from
what first comes to us.

What do we use?

In sevens, we could use Beatitudes, which might be 8!

Also the 5 Cs of Call, Cleanse, Consecrate, Commune, Commission.

Jordan’s Law, Lyric, Evaluation, Fact, New Torah.

Rosenstock’s Imperative, Subjective, Narrative, Objective, Planetary Service.
[See Gardner]

--
How this would work will be developed, but for the
Bledsalinskyo(!w)evey Clubs, taking that as a Rosenstockian Imperative, we would work through the subjective (do the AA-like thing for myself first0 and then narratively tell it as Bledsoe did in ‘Can Saul Alinsky Be Saved,’ and then make it objective by taking it to others and to the world, in Planetary Service?

CultureHouse, Toward Peace--The Explicit Reconciliation Of Opposites

I'm working on CultureHouse. For each book of the Bible, surely the books of the Bible are the building blocks of culture?, make/create a new type of person, a new type of speech, a Person, an organization, a meme, and now an Imperative. Modeled after E. T. Hall's 10x10 map of culture in The Silent Language, this one is a 7x7 based on 'Rethinking the Order of the Old Testament' . http://www.biblicalhorizons.com/biblical-horizons/no-80-rethinking-the-order-of-the-old-testament/ For Ecclesiastes, for example, about which a commentator said that Solomon was saved from despair by his optimistic eschatology, some publishing house that collects and /or sponsors optimistic views of the future/next life. Looking Backward would have been one, Jules Verne's works, etc. (And I add in the books retuned, and starting from the end, in order to be true to Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy's view that the past and the present do NOT cause the future [that's heresy, he said] but that the present is caused by the future and the past.) See Herovolution in chuchhartmanhistoryconductor. Join me in this housebuilding? January 22, A. D. 2014 is in Ecclesiastes week backward, and  Romans—and other dimensions will be impact-shown as CultureHouse develops. Imperative: Believe Providence—Remember.  [A variation, advolution from ‘Warriors of Light’.] Charlie PS: One each for maturation,, Redemptive History, and The Holy War against the devil and his angels (The devil is god’s devil, Luther. Proverbs 16:4, ‘evil,’ better ‘calamity’)  And TheBigSix to make 153 @[ (49x3) +6]

What are next week’s set of books?  See House Of Singing Times/Calendar Of Peace Prejected.Chuck:  Add to this the two 7x7x and the blank 7x7 and put it on ChuckHartmanHistoryConductor.
